Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, for exercising the prerogative of mercy and pardoning 53 convicts in celebration of Christmas. Governor Adeleke’s act of compassion included granting outright releases to 30 individuals, pardoning 10 for their good conduct, and commuting death sentences to 15 years for others. Some convicts, including those involved in serious offenses, were also granted release on medical grounds.
In her emotional tribute shared on Instagram, Biola Bayo extended her thanks to Governor Adeleke, referring to the pardon as a grace extended to the convicts. “Thank you so much, Your Excellency @aadeleke_01,” she wrote, acknowledging the Governor’s humane gesture.
This is not the first time Biola has praised Governor Adeleke. Earlier, she expressed admiration for his leadership and accomplishments. The actress has also been vocal about her support for his governance, including celebrating his second anniversary in office and highlighting his rapid achievements in the state.
Biola Bayo’s public appreciation follows her recent appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment, Art, Culture, and Tourism. She shared her excitement about the new role and the opportunity to serve the people of Osun State, marking the beginning of her journey into politics.
