AC Milan winger, Samuel Chukwueze, could make a surprise switch to Arsenal in the upcoming January transfer window, according to reports. The Gunners are reportedly ready to offer Jakub Kiwior in exchange for the 25-year-old Super Eagles star.
Chukwueze’s stint at Milan has been far from smooth since his €21.1million transfer from Villarreal last year. Despite his potential, the Nigerian forward has struggled to establish himself in the Serie A side, with just three goals and three assists in 33 appearances last season. This campaign, he has registered three goals and one assist in 21 appearances, though many of them have come as a substitute.
On the other hand, Kiwior, a 24-year-old defender, has had limited playing time at Arsenal, making just eight Premier League appearances this season. The Polish international has failed to secure a regular spot in Mikel Arteta’s plans and could be sacrificed in the deal for Chukwueze.
Arsenal has been long interested in the talented winger, and with the recent injuries to Raheem Sterling and star player Bukayo Saka, the Gunners are keen to seal the transfer. Chukwueze’s arrival would provide much-needed depth to their attacking options as they push for success in multiple competitions.
