Two Suspected Drug Dealers Arrested in Cross River

The Anti-Cultism Squad of the Nigeria Police Force, Cross River Command, has arrested two suspected drug dealers in Ugep town, Yakurr Local Government Area, following a successful operation based on credible intelligence.

According to the state Commissioner of Police, Gyogon Grimah, the arrest was made on Friday after the squad raided the area. The suspects, identified as 21-year-old Bassey Bassey and 23-year-old Christopher Okoi, were found in possession of various hard drugs, including 27 wraps of Ice, 110 wraps of Colos, 16 wraps of Loud, and seven wraps of Big.

In addition to the drugs, law enforcement officials recovered several items, including one laptop, three Android phones, two power banks, a scale, an MP3 player, and a cash sum of N1.3 million.

The suspects have reportedly confessed to the crime, and an ongoing investigation aims to trace the source of the drugs. The police confirmed that the suspects would be charged once the investigation is complete.
