Yuletide: Anambra Senator Spreads Joy with Over N200M Worth of Cash, Rice, and Food Items to Constituents

The people of Anambra North senatorial district had a jubilant Christmas as Senator Dr. Tony Nwoye generously distributed rice, food items, and a staggering N200 million cash gift to thousands of constituents in the region. The distribution covered all 99 wards of the senatorial district, encompassing seven local government areas.

The senator’s distribution included 2,000 50-kilogramme bags of rice, 5,500 25-kilogramme bags, and 10,000 10-kilogramme bags, along with cartons of groundnut oil, tin tomatoes, Maggi seasoning, and bags of salt. A total of 3,762 stakeholders, selected across the wards, received cash assistance, ensuring that 38 individuals per ward benefited directly from this gesture.

Senator Nwoye expressed that the distribution was a way of giving back to the community for the unwavering support he had received. Emphasizing that the aid was meant for all members of the constituency, regardless of political affiliation, he reiterated that no one would be left behind.

This rice and support are not just for party members or stakeholders. It is for the mechanics, tailors, artisans, and everyone in Anambra North, he stated. Your support is never taken for granted, and I will continue to work hard for the betterment of Anambra North.

In addition to the distribution, the senator urged his constituents to promote peace and unity during the festive period. He also called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to urgently address the growing security concerns in the state. Nwoye’s words resonated deeply, particularly with the recent abduction of Hon Justice Azuka, a member of the state House of Assembly, for whom he demanded an immediate release.

This generous yuletide gesture was supported by all LP lawmakers from the region, who are collectively committed to improving the welfare of their constituents.
