Job Summary
The Inventory/Warehouse Officer will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient management of inventory, supplies, and warehouse operations. This role requires maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring timely distribution of production materials, coordinating with production and marketing teams, and keeping the warehouse in top condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and control inbound and outbound inventory levels.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and damaged products.
- Update stock cards daily to ensure accurate records.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Supervise warehouse cleanliness and readiness for daily operations.
- Perform daily inspections to ensure health and safety regulations are observed.
- Keep proper records of delivery notes and ensure timely distribution of products to marketers.
- Production Coordination:
- Collaborate with production staff to provide materials for daily production.
- Randomly check dispensed cans to ensure production quality.
- Logistics and Fleet Management:
- Coordinate loading, routing, and delivery schedules.
- Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Maintain attendance records and prepare daily reports.
- Supplier and Vendor Relationships:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Negotiate favorable terms with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Reporting and Records:
- Generate daily inventory and stock level reports.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, deliveries, and stock movements.
Qualifications
- A B.Sc. in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience in inventory or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
