Nigerian artiste Odumodublvck has shared his calm response to the stage collapse that occurred during his performance at the Nativeland Festival on December 21, 2024, in Lagos. Despite the chaos and panic that ensued as crew members and fans rushed to safety, Odumodublvck remained unshaken.
Speaking in an interview with HIPTV, the artiste explained that he didn’t panic because he believes in God’s presence in his life. “For some reason, I wasn’t scared, and I didn’t panic because God is always in me,” he revealed. “Situations like that can be avoided.”
He further clarified that the stage collapse was an unfortunate event and that the hosting company, Native, has promised to investigate the incident. The artiste highlighted the complexities of live shows, mentioning that they involve multiple parties such as production companies, sound and light technicians, and security personnel.
