Former presidential aspirant and leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has declared his resolve to significantly diminish the influence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State during the 2027 elections.
Speaking at his residence in Kano on Wednesday during a meeting with former councillors and senior special advisers from his previous administration, Kwankwaso expressed confidence in the NNPP’s growing momentum. He highlighted the party’s ability to limit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to just 15,000 votes in Kano during the 2023 elections, attributing the feat to the hard work and grassroots mobilization of his team.
Now, it’s our turn to diminish APC’s influence. We will work tirelessly to ensure their votes are reduced to less than 15,000 in Kano come 2027, Kwankwaso vowed.
The former governor credited the NNPP’s rapid rise to its strategic campaigning, even as a relatively new political platform. He stressed the importance of sustained dedication, urging his supporters to intensify efforts to consolidate the party’s influence in Kano and across the country.
