Ebi Egbe, the Chief Executive Officer of Monimichelle Facilities Construction Company Limited, has expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Newstap/SWAN Five Star Sports Award nomination committee for selecting him as one of the awardees. In a statement released on Friday, December 27, 2024, Egbe commended the committee for their transparency and diligence in choosing the honorees, praising their decision to include Benue State Governor Reverend Father Hycinth Alia for his exceptional work in sports infrastructure development in the state.
Egbe, who is also the Chairman of Benue State Football Association, was named alongside other prominent figures, including Sunshine Stars President Kunle Soname, GTI Assets Management and Trust Limited, and Bar. Paul Edeh, Chairman of Benue State FA. He described the nomination as an immense honor and stated that he would cherish the recognition for years to come. I must say that I am humbled and greatly honoured to be nominated as one of the awardees. I will cherish this award, said Egbe.
Reflecting on the significance of the award, Egbe emphasized the importance of the committee’s thoughtful selection process. He particularly praised the recognition of Governor Hycinth Alia, acknowledging his efforts to revolutionize sports infrastructure in Benue State since taking office. Their inclusion of Benue State Governor is worthy of commendation because of the sports infrastructural development he has brought to the state since assumption of office, Egbe concluded.
