At least nine motorists were injured in multiple auto crashes on Saturday night along the Sagamu section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The incident occurred around 2 pm in front of Advanced International Merchant Nigeria Limited.
According to the Ogun State Police Command, the crash involved a Volvo truck, a Honda Jeep (SMK 326 GC), and a Mazda bus (SGM 979 XA). The truck, driven by Ajibola Owoniyo, an employee of Nestlé Company, entered the motorway without properly assessing oncoming traffic, causing the collision.
The collision led to injuries for the drivers of the truck and Mazda bus, along with seven passengers in the Mazda and one person in the Honda Jeep. All the injured victims were taken to Live Well Hospital and Owokoniran Private Hospital in Sagamu for medical care.
The vehicles have been cleared by traffic officers, and normal traffic flow has been restored.
