Amnesty International: 140 Journalists Among Over 42,000 Killed in Gaza

Amnesty International has revealed that Israeli forces have killed at least 42,010 people in Gaza, including 13,319 children and approximately 140 journalists. The disclosure was made by the organization’s Country Director, Isa Sunsui, during the relaunch of a report titled, ‘You Feel Like You Are Subhuman’. The report highlights the ongoing humanitarian crisis and the devastating impact of Israel’s military actions on the civilian population.

Auwal Rafsanjani, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, called on the global community to take a stronger stance against what he described as genocide against the Palestinian people. He urged governments worldwide to stop standing by while innocent lives are lost on such a massive scale and to condemn the atrocities occurring in Gaza.

The relaunch event aimed to bring attention to the dire humanitarian situation and renew calls for justice and accountability for the victims. Amnesty International also reiterated its commitment to advocating for the protection of civilians and holding perpetrators accountable for violations of international law. The report includes testimonies from survivors and witnesses, providing a harrowing insight into the destruction and suffering faced by the people of Gaza.
