In a groundbreaking move, Del-York Group, a leading Nigerian conglomerate, has entered a joint venture with Singapore’s TSC Global, committing $4.5 billion to develop the largest investment in Africa’s creative industry. The deal marks a significant milestone for the sector, which is projected to generate $100 billion by 2030 and create millions of jobs.
This ambitious project, located in Lagos, aims to establish a world-class creative ecosystem. It will feature cutting-edge technology such as a hyperscale data centre, AI-powered production workflows, and a sustainable power generation system. The development will also include 500,000 square meters of creative space and top-tier training facilities.
Linus Idahosa, President and CEO of Del-York Group, emphasized the project’s role in driving Africa’s creative and industrial revolution, calling it a bold economic blueprint. Michael Dickerson, CEO of TSC Global, described the initiative as the epicentre of Africa’s creative economy.
This investment reflects growing global interest in Africa’s creative industry, evidenced by recent major investments like Afreximbank’s $2 billion initiative and Universal Music Group’s stake in Mavin Records. The project is expected to propel Africa closer to becoming a cinematic powerhouse on the global stage.
