A devastating fire claimed the lives of Muhammadu Bello Sifawa’s daughter and three grandchildren on Monday. Sifawa, the Secretary to the Sokoto State Government, was left shattered by the tragic incident.

The deceased woman, wife of Sokoto’s Ministry of Sports and Youths Development Permanent Secretary, Muhammadu Yusuf Bello, died with her three children. Only her husband survived the inferno.

The deceased and her children will be buried after prayers at the Sheikh Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo Mosque in Sifawa. The tragedy has plunged Sokoto State into deep sadness.
