Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering economic growth, equity, and resilience through sustainable development plans. In his New Year address, the governor emphasized the importance of unity among the people of Ogun State and called for collective efforts toward societal progress.

As we journey together in 2025, let us come together with a renewed sense of purpose, regardless of our differences, to work towards the betterment of our beloved state, Abiodun stated, urging citizens to step into the new year with hope, determination, and focus.

Highlighting his administration’s achievements, Governor Abiodun noted progress in infrastructure, affordable housing, youth and women empowerment, qualitative healthcare, and food security. He also mentioned advancements in transportation, security, education, and energy.

In the energy sector, we have passed the Ogun State Electricity Law, enabling us to regulate power generation, transmission, and distribution. This landmark achievement positions Ogun State as a trailblazer in the sector,” he explained.

The governor stressed that his administration leveraged Ogun’s economic advantages to create a system resilient to challenges while adhering to the ISEYA mantra, which has guided development efforts. Despite acknowledging persistent issues such as unemployment and inadequate social amenities, he pledged to address these challenges with renewed vigor.

This past year has been a testament to our collective resolve to build the Ogun State of our dreams. Let us embrace this year with renewed hope, striving to achieve even greater milestones in infrastructural development and individual prosperity, he concluded.
