After nearly a decade of legal proceedings, Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have officially reached a divorce settlement. The Daily Mail reports that the estranged couple finalized the paperwork on Monday, December 30, concluding their long-running legal battle.
Jolie and Pitt, who tied the knot in 2014, share six children. Their high-profile split began in 2016 when Jolie filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.” The case became more complex with allegations of physical abuse by Pitt against Jolie and two of their children during a private jet flight that year.
The custody battle over their children became a significant aspect of the proceedings, leading to a joint custody arrangement in 2021.
Speaking on the settlement, divorce lawyer James Simon remarked: Frankly, Angelina is exhausted. More than eight years ago, she filed for divorce and left all shared properties with Mr. Pitt. Since then, her focus has been on finding peace and healing for her family.
