The Black Galaxies of Ghana have arrived in Uyo ahead of their highly anticipated 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Nigeria’s Home Eagles. The second-leg encounter is set to take place on Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
The Ghanaian contingent, consisting of 26 players, technical staff, and officials from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), made the journey with plans to finalize their preparations for the match. According to the official X account of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Black Galaxies flew into Port Harcourt aboard a chartered aircraft before traveling by road to Uyo after completing the necessary immigration procedures.
The team is scheduled to have a feel of the stadium later today in anticipation of tomorrow’s critical clash. The first-leg match between the two rivals ended in a 0-0 draw, setting the stage for what promises to be an intense and decisive second leg.
With the tension high and both teams eager for victory, all eyes will be on Uyo as Ghana and Nigeria battle it out for a place in the 2024 CHAN tournament.
