Prof. Adetokunbo Rafel Adebola from Bayero University Kano urged youths to choose marketable courses for self-reliance after graduation. Speaking at the 2024 Odide Day Cultural Ceremony, he highlighted the risks of pursuing obsolete degrees.
He advised youths to embrace digital education and modern technology, noting that artificial intelligence threatens certain jobs.
Adebola emphasized the importance of thinking creatively and avoiding greed and criminal activities. He urged them to invest in positive endeavors for a better future.
The event also featured cultural performances and a medical outreach. The Ilajo Royal Family honored 11 individuals for their contributions to community development. Additionally, 20 scholarships were awarded to exceptional Ilajo students.
The celebration concluded with a thanksgiving service, where Bishop Akobe prayed for the peace and prosperity of the Ilajo family and Kabba community.
