FCT Police Recover Abandoned SUV in Abuja, Call on Owner to Verify

Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have successfully recovered an abandoned Toyota Prado Land Cruiser Jeep, a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), in Abuja. The vehicle was found on December 31, 2024, during a routine patrol along David Ejoor Street, opposite Adisa Estate in the Apo-Gudu area.

According to SP Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), the SUV was found without a registration number. During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered a silver-colored eagle insignia, some video and audio cables, and a car stereo remote.

Upon further inspection, it was revealed that the sticker showing the engine and chassis numbers near the driver’s door had been removed, and the windscreen appeared to have been recently replaced. The vehicle was subsequently towed to the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki II for further investigation.

The FCT Police Command has urged anyone whose vehicle matches the description of the recovered Toyota Prado Jeep to visit the Command for verification and possible recovery.
