The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has successfully tracked and recovered a vehicle that was stolen from a church in Abuja. According to a statement from the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the stolen vehicle belonged to Onyeka Vincent and was taken from outside the Saint Louis Catholic Church in Byazhin area on Sunday.
Upon receiving the report of the theft, the FCT Police swiftly launched an investigation that led officers to Suleja, Niger State. There, they found the stolen vehicle in the possession of 45-year-old Evans Omagba. During questioning, Omagba confessed to the theft and revealed that he had acted in collaboration with three accomplices, who are still at large.
In a further breakthrough, the police were able to recover two more stolen vehicles from Omagba, showcasing the ongoing challenge of vehicle theft in the region.
The suspect is currently in custody, and authorities are working to apprehend the remaining individuals involved in the thefts. The recovery of the stolen vehicles highlights the FCT Police’s commitment to addressing criminal activity in the area, as they continue to investigate and track down other offenders.
