Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has urged Christians to make this Christmas season a time for prayer and reflection. He called on them to pray for lasting peace across Nigeria and for divine help to address the country’s economic struggles.
In a goodwill message to the Christian community, the governor encouraged acts of kindness and love. He reminded them that Christmas is a time to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Isah (Peace Be Upon Him), which emphasize tolerance, humility, love, and forgiveness. He also urged them to extend hands of friendship to non-Christians, promoting unity and understanding among all Nigerians.
To support the Christmas celebrations, Governor Idris donated three truckloads of rice to the Christian community in Kebbi State. The donation was announced by Dr. Samuel Audu Dabai, Special Adviser to the Governor on Christian Affairs, during a press briefing in Birnin Kebbi.
Dr. Dabai explained that the rice would be distributed mainly in the southern parts of the state, where the Christian population is higher. He expressed gratitude to the governor for his consistent support of the Christian community during festive periods.
