The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has issued an urgent alert regarding the emergence of a new sect, “ACHAD Life Mission International,” based in Kaduna State. The sect, led by one Mr. Yokana, who resides in Jos, Plateau State, is reportedly linked to human trafficking and child separation activities.
The NIS circular, dated January 14, 2025, highlighted the sect’s non-religious stance, as it neither follows Islam nor Christianity, instead advocating for the restoration of African traditions and humanitarian support. The sect is said to be actively recruiting members within Nigeria and abroad.
Authorities have called for heightened vigilance across all NIS state commands and security agencies. The Immigration Service has promised to collaborate closely with other security bodies to monitor and prevent any potential threats posed by the sect to national security.
