Position: Office Housekeeper / Cook (Chinese Cuisine Specialist)

Key Responsibilities
Cooking and Meal Preparation:
- Plan and prepare a variety of authentic Chinese dishes, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, customized to the tastes of Chinese nationals in the office.
- Source, manage, and maintain fresh ingredients, including specialty items specific to Chinese cuisine.
- Prepare beverages, such as traditional Chinese tea or coffee, as requested.
- Keep the kitchen area clean and organized, ensuring a hygienic cooking environment.
- Manage food inventory, minimizing waste by monitoring ingredient usage and freshness.
Cleaning and Office Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize office spaces, including workstations, meeting rooms, and common areas, as well as the Chinese nationals’ dormitory.
- Perform basic cleaning duties like sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to ensure a tidy office environment.
- Ensure restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.) and well-maintained.
- Organize and clean the kitchen or pantry area, washing dishes and utensils as needed.
- Manage waste disposal effectively, including emptying trash bins throughout the office.
General Duties:
- Assist in setting up and cleaning after office meetings, events, or gatherings.
- Report any maintenance issues or supply shortages promptly.
- Perform other administrative and housekeeping duties as assigned to ensure smooth office operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Higher education or related training in culinary arts or hospitality is an added advantage.
Experience:
- Proven experience preparing authentic Chinese meals.
- Prior experience working with Chinese nationals is a plus.
- Previous housekeeping experience in an office setting is preferred.
Skills and Attributes:
- Expertise in Chinese cuisine with the ability to prepare a wide range of dishes, from traditional favorites to contemporary adaptations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to efficiently manage both cooking and housekeeping duties.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe cooking environment.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and high standards are met.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and other staff.
- Positive attitude, polite demeanor, and a willingness to learn.
- Physical stamina and the ability to handle tasks such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting.
