In a move set to revolutionize aviation training in Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has announced the division of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) in Zaria into six campuses. Each campus will be strategically located in one of the country’s geopolitical zones, ensuring a more accessible and efficient training system for aspiring aviation professionals.
The new campuses will be situated in key locations: Akure (Southwest), Osubi (South-South), Ebonyi (Southeast), Ilorin (North Central), and Yola (North-East). This restructuring is expected to strengthen the country’s aviation sector, providing better training opportunities while addressing regional disparities in educational access.
By decentralizing NCAT, President Tinubu aims to improve aviation education across Nigeria, enabling students from all parts of the country to access high-quality training without the need for long-distance travel. The move is expected to boost local economies, create jobs, and contribute to the growth of the nation’s aviation industry.
This initiative is in line with the administration’s efforts to develop critical infrastructure and empower the Nigerian youth through better educational opportunities.
