The Kaduna State Police Command has announced the implementation of proactive security measures to ensure public safety during the upcoming Yuletide celebrations. The Commissioner of Police, AIG Ibrahim Abdullahi, made this known in a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, on Sunday in Kaduna.
Abdullahi emphasized the command’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and order across the state throughout the festive season. Key security measures include the deployment of specialized units such as the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Anti-Vice Section, CP Monitoring Unit, and Operation Fushin Kada to strategic locations and identified flashpoints.
The Commissioner also urged the public to support the command’s efforts by refraining from actions that could compromise security. “The youths are warned to refrain from the use of banned items like fireworks, knockouts, and any other materials capable of causing fear or unrest in the streets,” he cautioned.
Abdullahi commended the collaborative efforts of stakeholders who have contributed to fostering harmony and security in the state. He assured residents that the command is working tirelessly to protect lives and property, prevent crimes, and sustain peace during the festive period.
