The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has initiated an official investigation into a violent confrontation between its personnel and civilians in Unguwan Gangare, Barakallahu, located in Kaduna metropolis. The altercation, which occurred recently, led to the tragic death of one person and left several others injured.

In response to the tragic event, the NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, confirmed the incident and offered condolences to the family of the deceased. He also stated that the injured parties were receiving medical treatment at the 461 NAF Hospital.
“We deeply regret the loss of a life and have reached out to the family of the deceased to express our condolences and assure them of a thorough investigation and justice,” Akinboyewa stated. The Air Force has reiterated its commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and discipline, emphasizing that any personnel found responsible for the incident will be held fully accountable.
