Governor Mohammed Umaru-Bago of Niger State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in its operations. Speaking during the 2024 Base Socio-Cultural Activities (BASA) organized by the 013 Quick Response Force of NAF in Minna, Bago, represented by the Commissioner for Homeland Security, Mohammed Bello, commended NAF’s efforts in tackling insecurity in the state.
He highlighted the bravery, selflessness, and patriotism demonstrated by NAF personnel in combating banditry, and assured that his government would continue providing necessary resources and infrastructure to enhance the force’s capabilities.
Group Captain Austine Idoko, Commander of the 013 Quick Response Force, shared that the force’s efforts in “Operation Fasan Yamma” had delivered positive results. He emphasized the continued resolve to build on the success of joint security operations across the region.
BASA is a cultural event held annually to celebrate the NAF’s operational achievements and foster unity among personnel, their families, and host communities.
