Nigerian Players Abroad Shine Over the Weekend

Victor Osimhen continues to impress for Galatasaray, scoring a goal in their 2-1 victory over Goztepe in Saturday’s Super Lig. This marked his 12th appearance for the club, where he has netted 10 goals and provided three assists this season. He opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a penalty, much to the joy of the home fans.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru started for Lazio in their match against AS Roma, following a strong performance against Atalanta. He was substituted in the second half for Senegalese striker Boulaye Dia.

Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey both featured for Fulham, who drew 2-2 with Ipswich Town at Craven Cottage. Iwobi played 63 minutes before being replaced by Rodrigo Muniz. He has scored five goals and assisted three in 20 league appearances this season. Bassey completed the full match.

Victor Boniface is set to return to action in Friday’s Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund after recovering from a thigh injury. Boniface has been sidelined for seven weeks, missing several matches, including five Bundesliga games.

In the Premier League, Paul Onuachu and Joe Aribo started for Southampton in their heavy 5-0 defeat to Brentford.
