Abia Warriors forward, Sunday Megwo, has expressed confidence ahead of their matchday 26 clash against Kwara United in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Umuahia-based team will face Kwara United at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl, George Innih Stadium, Ilorin, on Wednesday (today).
Despite acknowledging the tough challenge posed by the home side, Megwo remains optimistic about securing all three points.
“Yes, we’re in Ilorin for the maximum points, though it’s going to be a tough game against Kwara United,” Megwo said.
“They’ve been in good form at home lately, so we know the game will be challenging.
“But I’m hopeful and confident that we will get a positive result,” he added.
Abia Warriors currently sit in fourth position on the NPFL table with 39 points, while Kwara United occupy 10th place with 35 points.
A victory for Abia Warriors could strengthen their position in the top-four race, while Kwara United will be aiming to close the gap and improve their standing.
