Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that star forward Bukayo Saka will be sidelined for at least two months after undergoing surgery to repair a hamstring injury. The Gunners’ title hopes have suffered a significant blow as the English international is expected to miss a substantial portion of the season.
Arteta stated, “He had a procedure and everything went well, but unfortunately he will be out for many, many weeks. I think it will be more than two months. I don’t know exactly how much longer. It will depend on how the scar tissue heals in the first week or so and the mobility of it.”
While the news on Saka’s injury was concerning, there was a more positive update on Raheem Sterling. Arteta mentioned that Sterling’s knee injury was progressing better than expected, offering some hope for the Gunners as they prepare for the upcoming fixtures.
