Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has extended heartfelt Christmas wishes to residents, encouraging them to embrace the season’s message of love and unity. Speaking at the Lagos House in Marina during the presentation of a book, Beyond Rhetorics: Sanwo-Olu Unprecedented, the governor pledged to work even harder for Lagosians in the coming year.
“We wish you all the very best of the season,” Sanwo-Olu said. “Next year, we will work better, smarter, and bigger for the citizens of Lagos.” He praised the Lagos State Governor’s Office Correspondents (LAGOCO) for their effort in documenting his administration’s achievements. The governor described journalists as essential partners in Lagos’ growth.
Sanwo-Olu promised to make the book widely available across the state. He highlighted its insights into governance and the principles guiding his administration. He reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Lagos into a hub of innovation and opportunity while fostering hope for future generations.
Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Secretary to the State Government Barrister Mrs. Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin, and other top officials attended the event. Their presence underscored the teamwork driving Lagos’ progress.
In a similar vein, the 2023 Lagos PDP Governorship Candidate, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR), urged Lagosians to embrace brotherly love during Christmas. In a statement, JANDOR emphasized that Christmas symbolizes God’s love for humanity and called on citizens to reflect on the values of peace, kindness, and sacrifice.
“Christmas reminds us of the need to love one another and live in harmony,” JANDOR said. He encouraged residents to treat their neighbors with care, regardless of differences in faith or background. He also called on religious leaders to continue preaching messages of love and unity, essential for societal growth.
In celebration of the season, JANDOR hosted a Christmas gathering at his campaign office. Over 1,000 party members received bags of rice and financial support, while party leaders were also gifted in the spirit of goodwill.
Both Sanwo-Olu and JANDOR highlighted the essence of Christmas as a time for reflection and community. Their shared commitment to unity and progress underscores the need for collective effort in building a better Lagos.
