Eric Chelle, the newly appointed coach of the Super Eagles, will travel to Europe next week to meet with several senior players ahead of the team’s preparations for upcoming fixtures. Chelle, who was officially unveiled by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Abuja on Monday, plans to spend time with the home-based Super Eagles, who are gearing up for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Starting his European tour this weekend, the 47-year-old coach will first visit Moses Simon, who plays for Nantes in France. Chelle will also meet with top stars such as Victor Osimhen in Turkey and Wilfred Ndidi in England, as well as other key players in Germany.
Chelle is expected to return to Nigeria before the end of the month after completing his European visit. Additionally, Chelle will be accompanying the Home Eagles to CHAN 2024, where he will take on a supervisory role.
