Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has denied rumors that he persuaded compatriot Bright Osayi-Samuel to leave Fenerbahce and join him at Galatasaray.
Osayi-Samuel’s future has been a hot topic in Turkish football. His contract with Fenerbahce expires at the end of the season, and despite this, he has refused to sign an extension. He has been linked with a move to Galatasaray, and rumors suggested that Osimhen had been in talks with Osayi-Samuel to convince him to join the club.
However, Osimhen has refuted these claims. Following Galatasaray’s 2-1 win over Goztepe, Osimhen addressed the rumors, stating, “I didn’t have a conversation with him (Osayi-Samuel) about such. He’s my friend, but no.”
With Osayi-Samuel in the final six months of his contract, he can now negotiate with potential suitors. Speculation is rife about his next move, with Premier League club Crystal Palace reportedly interested.
Osayi-Samuel will be free to leave Fenerbahce in the summer, and in the coming months, his next destination will likely become clear.
