Popular Nigerian TikToker Habeeb Hazmat, widely known as Peller, has unveiled the strategy behind his rise to fame and success on TikTok. In an interview with Nedu on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Peller shared that acting like a “dull person” is the secret to thriving on the platform.
He explained that when he initially started using TikTok, he spoke proper English but received minimal engagement. However, his views skyrocketed when he began using broken English and portraying a more relaxed persona during live sessions, garnering over 2,000 viewers at a time.
Peller also disclosed that the biggest amount he has ever earned on TikTok was ₦10 million in a single night. Contrary to rumors that he made $200,000 during a TikTok Live session with Davido, he clarified that he only earned ₦1.5 million from the collaboration.
Last week, Peller announced his engagement to his girlfriend, Jarvis, sharing a heartfelt video of the proposal. The TikToker expressed his excitement about their upcoming wedding, scheduled for 2025, and even left a comment on Davido’s Instagram post to inform the superstar of his engagement.
The social media sensation has also built connections with notable figures like singer Tiwa Savage, who struck a friendship with Peller after appearing on his TikTok Live. During the session, Tiwa showcased her tattoo in a viral moment that sparked mixed reactions online. Despite the backlash, Tiwa supported Peller by flying him on a private jet alongside her son, Jamal.
