Serie A clubs, Cagliari and Empoli, are reportedly interested in signing Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers. The Nigerian forward has found himself down the pecking order at Rangers, prompting him to consider his future at the club.
According to Sky Sport Italia, both Cagliari and Empoli are looking to bring Dessers on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season. The 30-year-old previously had a stint in Serie A with Cremonese during the 2022/23 season, where he scored six goals in 26 league appearances. After Cremonese’s relegation to Serie B, Dessers was sold to Rangers.
So far this season, Dessers has scored 12 goals and provided four assists in 30 appearances across all competitions for Rangers. His contract with the club runs until May 2027.
