Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has officially appointed Oluwatoyin Taiwo as his Chief of Staff. The announcement was confirmed on Wednesday when Governor Abiodun personally handed over the letter of appointment.
The appointment, effective from December 18, 2024, was announced in a statement by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade. Governor Abiodun congratulated Taiwo, describing the new role as a well-deserved recognition of his dedication and service.
Taiwo, a seasoned administrator and politician, previously served as the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism during the governor’s first term. He was later promoted to the position of Deputy Chief of Staff, a role he held until his recent elevation.
An accomplished academic, Taiwo is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he earned a B.Sc in Statistics. His academic journey continued with further studies culminating in a PhD.
Governor Abiodun’s choice of Taiwo reflects the administration’s focus on continuity and experienced leadership as it advances its developmental agenda in Ogun State.
