Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has assured residents of a renewed commitment to soft infrastructure development in 2025, following two years of intensive infrastructural upgrades.
In a New Year’s address, Adeleke highlighted plans to implement social programs aimed at alleviating hardships and complementing physical infrastructure projects. “Good roads must be complemented by strong bodies and citizens,” he stated.
The governor pledged to complete ongoing projects while emphasizing transparency and accountability in governance. He encouraged opposition members to collaborate, citing his administration’s adherence to the Freedom of Information Act and its reliance on state resources without borrowing.
Over the past two years, Adeleke’s administration rehabilitated 150 kilometers of roads, upgraded 100 schools, refurbished 200 health centers, and executed over 300 community projects. Initiatives for workers, retirees, and youth empowerment have also been prioritized, alongside efforts to boost Osun’s investment climate and creative industry.
Looking ahead, Adeleke promised inclusive governance and sustainable solutions to remaining challenges, urging Osun residents to join him in transforming the state.
