APC Responds to Atiku’s Blame, Morka Denies Allegations of Destabilization

The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has firmly rejected claims from former presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar that the APC is responsible for the ongoing crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Morka stated that it is not the APC’s fault that the PDP is imploding, calling the situation within the opposition party a result of its own internal mismanagement.

In a statement made on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme, Morka expressed frustration with Atiku and other PDP members who, according to him, have shifted the focus from their party’s internal issues to blaming the APC for their troubles. He pointed out that while the PDP is facing a crisis, it is not due to any actions by the APC.

“The PDP is imploding. That is clear to everyone,” Morka said. “It’s imploding not because of APC or what APC is doing or has done. As a matter of fact, the APC is doing nothing. We are busy minding our business, worrying about our own matters, sorting out our own internal issues, building cohesion, and preparing for whatever contests may come.”

Morka also dismissed allegations from Atiku that President Bola Tinubu’s government paid opposition leaders N50 million each to destabilize the PDP. He clarified that the APC was not involved in any such activities and was focused solely on its own affairs.

Further addressing Atiku’s comments, Morka said, “Only very bad workmen blame the tools. In this instance, the PDP has proven completely unable, utterly incompetent, to manage their own internal affairs. How then do they begin, as they do, to tout themselves capable of governing Nigeria when they cannot even manage their own very little, small internal issues?”

Morka’s remarks were a direct response to the growing tension within the PDP as the party grapples with internal conflicts, and his comments reflect the APC’s stance that the opposition party must take responsibility for its own challenges.
