Rauf Aregbesola, former Governor of Osun State, has expressed that his political organization, Omoluabi Progressives, is open to collaboration with all political parties, following their departure from the All Progressives Congress (APC). In a statement released by the Organising and Publicity Secretary of Omoluabi Progressives, Aregbesola emphasized that the caucus possesses the numbers and strength to form alliances across political, religious, and socio-cultural lines.
The Omoluabi Progressives recently withdrew from the APC, citing issues such as the ostracization of its members, unfair suspensions and expulsions, and the continuous denigration of the group’s structure.
Aregbesola commended the commitment of the caucus members, acknowledging their adherence to the principles of integrity and good governance. He affirmed that this resolve would enable Omoluabi Progressives to aggressively pursue its goal of entrenching good governance in Osun State.
“We are open to all regardless of political, religious, or socio-cultural leanings. We have the numbers, strength, and political acumen to provide a leadership that will make Osun the toast of its peers,” Aregbesola remarked. He assured the caucus that the ongoing efforts would soon yield tangible results, pushing the organization closer to its vision for the state.
