Doguwa Says NNPP Will Lose Kano Before 1 PM on Election Day in 2027

Rep. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), has declared that the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) will lose Kano State before 1 p.m. on election day in 2027.

Doguwa made this bold statement on Sunday during an empowerment program organized by the Deputy Senate President, Barau I. Jibrin, in Kano. He expressed confidence that the unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) would help the party reclaim power in the state.

“With the unity in our party now, by God’s grace, we will reclaim our mandate in Kano before 1 p.m. on election day in 2027. The NNPP will be defeated,” Doguwa said.

At the event, Barau Jibrin highlighted the APC’s commitment to supporting its members. As part of the empowerment program, 1,037 motorcycles and 63 cars were distributed to APC leaders across ward and local levels.

Jibrin explained that the initiative aimed to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure and reward loyal supporters.

“We decided to start by empowering our party leaders who are part of the society,” Jibrin said.

He noted that most APC leaders are hardworking individuals, especially farmers, and the empowerment initiative would improve their livelihoods and deepen their commitment to the party.

Jibrin also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies, particularly the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which aims to make higher education more accessible to students.

“The President has introduced several programs to support Nigerians,” Jibrin said.

“With NELFUND, students can now go to school without financial barriers. Additionally, he has created a commission to improve and restructure infrastructure nationwide.

APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, applauded President Tinubu’s economic reforms, stating that they are already yielding positive results.

“We must thank Mr. President for his initiatives,” Ganduje said.

“The cost of petrol is going down, food prices are dropping, and the Naira is appreciating. We assure you that Nigeria will continue to progress under this administration.”

The APC’s recent empowerment efforts in Kano are part of a larger strategy to regain control of the state from the NNPP in the 2027 elections.

With increasing unity and stronger grassroots support, party leaders believe they will defeat the NNPP early on election day.
