Senator Samuel Anyanwu has reaffirmed his position as the substantive National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), despite recent legal developments.
Last week, the Court of Appeal in Enugu upheld a decision recognizing former National Youth Leader, Sunday Okoye, as the National Secretary.
Speaking at the PDP National Headquarters in Abuja on Monday, Anyanwu stated that a stay of execution had been granted, maintaining the status quo until the Supreme Court resolves the matter.
“As you can see, I’m in the office. The Appeal Court judgment has been appealed at the Supreme Court, and there is a stay of execution. So, the position remains the way it is until determined by the Supreme Court,” he said.
