Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu have stressed the importance of a strong legislative-executive partnership to drive progress in the state. The two leaders met at Governor Otti’s private residence in Nvosi, Ngwa, where they discussed key issues affecting Abia’s development.
In their speeches, Otti (LP) and Kalu (APC) highlighted the need for political unity, urging stakeholders to focus on the welfare of the people rather than party politics. Kalu, who visited to celebrate the new year and brief the governor on National Assembly developments, praised Otti’s transformative efforts in the state.
Kalu emphasized, “What unites us is more than what divides us. Party politics will never come between us. Our focus is on the state’s development and seeking federal support.” He also expressed gratitude for Otti’s warm reception, acknowledging the importance of collaboration for the good of the people.
Governor Otti commended Kalu’s proactive representation and echoed the call for politicians to prioritize governance over party affiliations. He stressed that once elections are over, the focus should shift entirely to the well-being of the people. Otti also thanked Kalu for his ongoing efforts in the National Assembly, stressing that effective governance depends on strong representation.
