The Commissioner of Police in Yobe, CP Garba Ahmed, decorated newly promoted officers at the Force Headquarters in Damaturu on Monday.

Officers moved up to Assistant Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, and Chief Superintendent of Police.

CP Ahmed urged them to justify their promotions with dedication and professionalism. He said, “More promotion, more responsibility. The higher you go, the tougher it gets. Strive to improve.”

Family, friends, senior officers, and security operatives attended the event. SP Dungus Abdulkareem, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, was among the promoted officers.

Lt. Colonel Shehu Mohammed, spokesperson for Sector 2 Joint Task Force, congratulated Abdulkareem and called the promotion well-deserved.
